Founded in 2007, Dead by April are a Swedish metal/pop band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band is comprised of Pontus Hjelm (guitars, vocals, programming), Christoffer Andersson (vocals), Zandro Santiago (vocals), Marcus Wesslen (bass), and Marcus Rosell (drums).

Upon the band forming in 2007, Dead by April made their recording debut with a self titled demo that circulated the Internet and quickly gained interest on an International scale. In 2009 the band signed with Universal Music and the commercial debut of their self titled album was released. Debut single ‘Losing You’ was an instant hit and remained at Number 1 in the singles chart for three weeks. To coincide with the release, Dead by April toured all over the world with significant highlights including:

= Performing alongside Slipknot and In Flames
= Clown from Slipknow producing a remix of ‘Angels of Clarity’
= Making their Japanese debut at Loud Park
= Performing at Sonisphere in the UK as well as Stockholm and Hultsfred in Sweden
= Headline sold out shows

In Spring 2011, the bands follow-up album ‘Incomparable’ was complete and set for release in the Autumn of the same year. This album also reached critical acclaim and made it to Number 2 in the Swedish album charts. Once again, Dead by April toured extensively to promote the new album and the European tour in December 2011 was a massive success and continued to see the band heading in the right direction.

After much touring, the Summer of 2012 saw Dead by April play their debut sold out show in America at Webster Hall, along with performing at many European festivals including Wacken.

In early 2013, Dead by April were tighter than ever and began work on their highly anticipated third album ‘Let The World Know’. In February 2014 the new album was released, and the band embarked on another successful European tour and several shows in Russia. 2014 has continued to be successful for the band with highlights including:

= Received Gold and Platinum awards on multiple occasions
= Rapidly nearing 500,000 ‘Likes’ on Facebook
= Exceeding 20,000 ‘Followers on Twitter
= Single ‘As A Butterfly’ being viewed in excess of 500,000 times on YouTube
= Relaunching the bands website and offering exclusive lessons with the band members
